Terms of use
Last updated: · written by the FileLocator team
By using filelocator.net you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain English on purpose.
Informational content, no warranty
Everything on this site — reviews, guides, benchmarks, scores — is informational content, provided "as is" with no warranty of any kind. We work hard to keep pages accurate (see how on our about page), but software changes faster than any review site can, and we can't guarantee that every price, feature or version number is current on the day you read it.
Third-party software is at your own risk
We link to the official download pages of the tools we review, but we don't host, distribute or vouch for any third-party software. Downloading and installing it is your decision and your risk. Check each program's license and system requirements before installing, and scan anything you download — standard hygiene that applies everywhere, not just here.
Benchmarks reflect our test rig
Every performance figure we publish was measured on our own hardware against our own 1.2-million-file library. Your machine, drives and files are different, so your results will vary — sometimes a lot. Treat our numbers as fair relative comparisons between tools, not promises about your setup.
Trademarks
All product names, logos and brands mentioned on this site are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification only. In particular: this site is an independent publication and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Mythicsoft Ltd or its "FileLocator Pro" product, which we cover purely as reviewers.
How we make money
filelocator.net participates in the Amazon Associates program. The full plain-English explanation — which pages carry links and why they never influence rankings — is in our affiliate disclosure. How we handle (or rather, don't handle) your data is covered in the privacy policy.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, filelocator.net and its team are not liable for any damages arising from your use of this site or of any software, hardware or service mentioned on it — including lost data, lost time or purchase decisions you make based on our content.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms at any time; the date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the site operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
